At West Coast Personal Trainer, I have a very comprehensive approach to personal training. Rather than a one-size-fits-all mindset, I take the time to learn about you - your long- and short-term goals as well as your current fitness, health, and nutritional habits.

Outdoor Boot Camps

While running on the treadmill, working out on the elliptical machine, and lifting weights are all excellent forms of exercise, it is always a good idea to change up your workout routine by taking a class. When your body gets used to an exercise, your muscles are no longer being challenged.

Here at West Coast Personal Trainer I offer outdoor Fitness Boot Camp Classes whose main goal is to help you get fit, reach your goals, improve your health and get you the results you want! My Outdoor Fitness classes run every 4 weeks all year, rain or shine!(covered areas). My Outdoor Fitness Classes are for anyone who wants to improve their quality of life and get results. Age and athletic ability do not matter. My program is designed to be fun and challenging and to push you to YOUR next level.

An average class size consists of 14 people! Fitness levels will vary, don't worry if you are unfit or even super fit, we will accommodate everyone! Classes vary day by day and I try to change it up as much as I can. Equipment such as ladders, weights, slam balls, skipping ropes, kettlebells, battle ropes, bosu & medicine balls etc. are used during some trainings.

I will look at your medical history, perform a fitness assessment and prescribe the appropriate type and amount of exercise. Together we will set personalized fitness goals and I will help you achieve your desired results.

From fitness beginners to highly experienced when training with a personal trainer your chances of injury decrease and your personal safety increases. If you are a beginner I will show you proper techniques and modifications to safety work targeted muscles. While someone more experienced will make sure you are being spotted and safety push yourself to your limits. I will keep you motivated and accountable for your workouts.

About Your Trainer- Crystal (Chris)

I knew I needed to find a way to stay active as an adult. This is were training came in. I was that kid that played all sports till high school were my love of soccer. I played on 3 teams, one being on a man's soccer team. Loved it, hitting men when playing... Laughing.

So when I found a course I could take in Calgary (I moved to Banff when I was 17) for Personal Training. I jumped on in. I finished the year program in 2001 and here I am! I started training clients in Toronto running the Fitness department at the local YMCA. Also started training Hockey teams, one being the Toronto Maple Leafs dry land training and the women's Olympic hockey GOLD medal girls.

My passion for health, fitness stems from my belief in self-empowerment. I work in an environment where a lot of young women and men are concerned with their body image and the way they feel. As a personal trainer (and a strong woman), I help show them that working out is NOT just about changing your body image, it's also about improving your self-confidence and feeling better about yourself regardless of your shape and size.
